Hey guys,

I recently got a new PC and with it also this one graphics card! The issue is that it makes this really annoying noise, at first it was ok but then it keeps going on and on and it gets annoying and bothersome. I believe it is the fan that is situated on top of the heat syncs, it is enclosed in a plastic box I believe but the inside I think might be spinning crazily and like not bolted properly!

the noise sounds like something popping or when data is being reador destroyed! But I am sure it is not HDD! Any suggestions on what to do?

Open it up and make sure nothing is loose maybe? Since it's new I don't think it's dust getting in the fans or anything.

It's normal to have the fans encased in plastic, don't try removing it unless you are absolutley sure it is your graphics card.

Well the thing is when my PC case is upright it makes the noise, if I tilt it o lets say about 45 degree angle it will stop and act normal and you will only hear the air from time to time! once you bring it upright again it begins noise!

The thing is when I pressed on my graphics card a bit from top while PC was on it stopped making noise, which is why I think that although it could be I pressed something else without knowing!

Is there any good way to find out for sure it is graphics card?

take it out then start your computer and listen for the sound...

I really doubt the graphics card is making the noise, try tightening the screws on the heatsink fan on your processor. make sure everything is off and the power is unplugged...then search around for loose parts and make sure you tighted them accordingly.
