Default Help with undeletable file...

This file just randomly appeared on my computer after downloading a few programs. I ran a virus scan and AVG says there is hacktool.crack file in my system restoration files. I know the filename is, strange... but I DID NOT download this.

Anyway, for some reason when I put it in the recycle bin, it won't go in, and I can't delete it with anything, even East-Tec Eraser. Also, when I right click it, no delete, rename, properties thing shows up, just edit with Photoshop or Imageready. And when I open it, it crashes my whole computer.

BTW: Ignore iTunes lol.

Spoiler for Image:

BTW2: No I'm not a repeat of Strangler!

Just tried that. Doesn't show up when I right-click either.

BTW: Proof I do have a virus.

IT could be a corrupted file.

Try running check disk. Although it will be a pain in the butt considering you will probably have to check the whole disk.

Yea it does look like a virus.

Try running the file name through google and see what pops up.

That will be my last resort. I have tons of gigs of several small files, so chances are it will take forever, like you said.

And here is the hijack this log if anyone wants to see it.

I had this same problem, except without the pedo...
Try the using a command line to delete it
If the file name is too long, there is a way to get shortened versions of files in a directory. Google around...

There is some program called file incinerator i think that might let you delete it.

I had something similar to this. The way i got rid of it was by deleting the folder it was in. But in your case its the desktop folder you have to delete and i don't know if you can delete that. Just get kill box and use the "delete on restart" option or try dragging it into a folder and then delete the folder.

Neither of those things worked. I'm beginning to think the file name is too long. When I tried it in killbox the name didn't go inside the line.

Any way to fix it?
