My Maxtor 3200 external HD isn't showing up. I plug it in on this computer, and I get absolutely nothing. I plug it in on my other computer, I get the little 'unplug/eject hardware' thing in the taskbar. I click on it, and it says that it's connected, but nothing is showing up in the Windows Explorer.

The only thing I have on it is an Ubuntu installation. I NEED to get this baby formatted right now.

Anyone help?

I'm aware of that. But you see, this forum is tad more active than the PC one. Thus I am more likely to get a quicker answer in this board than the PC one.

Right click my computer and select manage.
Expand the section called storage.
Check removable storage or disk management. Does the hard drive show up there? What filesystem are you using? You can format it from there if it shows up.
