Default Help, my crap pc crapped up.

Hia, I have a crap PC, and it has crapped up. I know it is because I disconnected the HD when the P was on by accident (im an ass) this is what happens:

Boot PC.
Checks through boot disk from floppy and cd 9as per usual for my pc)
then it says boot failed or something and says for me to insert windows recovery disk.

Then I tried installing ubuntu, wiped the hd then install. Same thing happens, it is forever crapped up or what? thanks.

If you remove the HD while it is in use, it can either corrupt the data, or damage the HD. Looks like the later happened to you. You should probably just buy a new one.

Check you reconnected the HD correctly, and if your using ide make sure the hd is set as master.

If it wasn't connect properly, it would say that it couldn't find the disc, and not that the recovery disc was needed to be inserted to rebuild the missing files.

Maybe it needs a reformat? IF you've screwed up the disk a reformat might help, which think you can do with the Windows recovery disk. It will erase all your data though.

If your MBR is screwed up you can use this: http://ebcd.pcministry.com/
Just burn to a disc, put in drive and boot up. It will rebuild the MBR to do whatever you want.
