Router isn't turning on

This is a discussion on Router isn't turning on within the Everything Windows forums, part of the General PC Forums category; My old computer just burned out (I think) and now it doesn't turn on, so I tried to fix it ...

Default Router isn't turning on
My old computer just burned out (I think) and now it doesn't turn on, so I tried to fix it and my router was connected to it. I turned off the power to try to fix it, but now my router wont turn on. I don't know what to do, my mom just tried to turn on the old computer to go online, and it didn't turn on.

Im not gonna mess with it, my mom is so annoying whenever I try to mess with it. Always thinking im an idiot with computers, even tho im the only hope for fixing it in the house...

Where do most routers draw they're power from? Its not plugged in and my cable box isn't connecting to it anymore...
