My computer wants to start CHKDSK (Check disk) everytime on startup. probably because it crashed a few days ago. but i hate running chkdsk because i know there is nothing wrong. so is there a way to stop it?
without aborting it everytime. 2 seconds is long to abort.

I'm guessing you let it finish but it still comes up next time, maybe your hard drive is causing errors when you are in windows. Right click 'My computer' and select manage. Go to System tools > Event Viewer > System Do you see any errors there? Double click the errors and follow the links. Do any of the errors indicate a hard drive problem? If it is a hard drive problem, follow the advice given by the link. If there are no apparent hard drive problems, post again and I'll figure something out. |

i kno there aren't any errors. its just i was in adobe premier pro 2.0, and it kept crashing the pc giving me the BSoD. so i restarted let it do the chkdsk, then back into adobe premier. i have to get this thing done but it keeps crashing my pc, and im tired of the chkdsk. but i need to get this done. so i dont want to everytime have to wait 20 mins for chkdsk to finish. so i was just wondering if there was a way to stop it from the computer.
i dont even kno why premier crashes my pc... maybe its using to many resources or something lol....

Well, the event viewer I described will give you an indication of why Premier is crashing your PC. If we solve that then there is no need to skip chkdsk. Or you can go into command prompt and type this: chkntfs /x c: That will disable chkdsk for that drive. |

I had the same thing for my hard drive, turns out I bent the cable too much. Routing it properly stopped the errors. You can try disabling your CD drive from the BIOS and see if that stops the crashes. |
