Slow Internet Issue

I have dsl and I used to be able to get around 1500kbps average (not blazing fast but good enough for me) Well all of a sudden its slows down to 700kbps! Thats over twice as slow! My phone line went out a few days ago, I'm thinking that may have something to do with it. I have reseted my modem and all that stuff, I also set my latency so I can get optimal performance out of my internet but no luck. Also my network was recently hacked but I managed to delete the bot before it did great damage, from what I read off the command prompt it said the bot deleted some of my network files. So basically I wanna speed up my internet

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your phone line went out, perhaps your ISP is doing something to the line. I remember when I got upgraded to 8MBps, my internet was slow for a week before it got back up to full speed.

Give your ISP a call.

Yeah I am gonna call them up and ask them whats up. I just wanted to know if there are any other things out there to help boost my connection.
