Default XP repair problem

Ok i had Vista Transformation Pack 6.0 I ooved it but as my application bundle gre so did the ram usage so i went throuhg what i didn't need and my computer was still slow so i thought i would have to loose my favourite insigt into vista and so went ahead and uninstalled it however i didn't make a Backup so i still have a few things so then i thought i could upgrade XP to XP again so i got the CD my mum used for her laptop but i did not like the Product key i had so i used mums then a fle goes missing and startup wont run properly and i have a mini partition. Earlier this morning i read of coping the I386 folder to a CD as i have Home edition SP2 OEM that came with the computer i copy it all burn it and try to run it only to face a message box saying

Quote:
Cannot upgrade because I can't find D:\i386\WINNTUPG\NETUPGRD .DLL
basically so all i can do is a clean install which i do not want to do as i may aswell upgrade my motherboard and ram and get Vista
