Default I need a new mouse, any recommendations?

My mouse is crap. It eats batteries like crazy, jumps everywhere and it's encrusted with dirt and bits of paint. I need a new one.
I tend to prefer Logitech ones since they have historically been the most comfertable for me. However now there are 2094380912347019824 kinds of mice from Logitech so it's hard to choose. These are the ones I've singled out so far:

Logitech MX Revolution

Pros: Very comfertable, many programable buttons, charging cradle
Cons: £55, no middle click.

Logitech MX 610

Pros: Relativley cheap, lights up with email and instant messages
Cons: Only works with MSN and Outlook, buggy software.

Logitech MX1000

Pros: Good reviews, programmable buttons, charge cradle
Cons: £40

Logitech G7

Pros: Change sensitivity for gaming
Cons: Sensitivity buttons badly placed, only 1 extra button.

So have any of you guys got a mouse that has served you well? Do you have any of the mice above? If so, whats your opinion.
Also could you state what size your hands are relative to the norm. My hands are around average so bigger mice tend to be unusable for me.

I'd get the first one. All other logitech ones like the other 3 seem to die out to soon for me. Like completely die.

I had one for 3 months and after that it died. No, it wasn't that I needed a new battery, it was that the laser had died out so, it wouldn't move.

I've used a Logitech MX1000 and it was really excellent. As for one, I couldn't live without middle click.

Well, I use the middle button when I want to scroll really long pages and I usually do this by middle clicking and moving the mouse downwards. I don't think thats possible on the MX revolution.
Also I always use the middle click to close tabs in FF, not to emntion its used quite a lot in PC games. I really don't want to use it. Is the button reprogrammable in the software or is it a hardware click that makes it pop up into freespin mode?

1st, it looks more comfortable. but the 55 pounds is a bit steep for a mouse.

Well, for all around the 1st. The con of no middle click was one of my reasons not to buy it. I was just looking around for a new mouse. If you are into gaming more than other things, the common vote is to the G7. I am also buying a new mouse, and I will probably pick up the MX Revolution, but it's so expensive that I'm not sure it's worth it.

I do game a lot but I've never actually used a mouse that can change sensitivity on the fly. I was wondering whether this would be as useful as it seems in my head.
Also the sensitivity changing buttons are in such a bad location, it's probably hard to get good use out of them.

The way I see, a mouse should last a very long time. My current mouse is one of the first gen wireless ones so it's pretty old and has served me a long time. In terms of PC parts, the mouse and keyboard lasts a very long time, with the monitor and case coming in 2nd. It's a good investment in that sense.

Logitech MX1000

It's the one I own, and I'll never go to another one. If this one dies, I'll buy a new one.

Serously awesome.

If you have bigger hands that cover up the entire mouse and want quality performance, go with the Razer Death Adder.

If the price is a bit steep, then look next for the Razer Diamondback.

Both those mice rip the Logitech mice apart in performance.

Forgot to mention that it needs to be wireless and gaming mice tend not to be wireless because it has slight lag. I personally haven't noticed any on my one so I'm going to stick to wireless.

Also since my desk is quite cramped, the way I would route a wire to my PC would be going around all sorts of things and it will catch on a few corners.

On top of that, I haven't really seen any of them stocked in any store which isn't online. Ideally I would like to try it out and see if it is comfertable, but not many stores around here carry gaming mice.

I totally agree, I've used this mouse for months without a single problem. It's honestly one of the best I've ever owned.

If it's wireless-only, then I guess the G7 wins the vote.

Try and get the "carbon-fibre" version as it looks better.

I can't find anywhere online/in-stores that have the Death Adder in stock either as they're all sold out.

I personally use the Razer Diamondback and it's an awesome mouse. It's a low profile mouse so most people might not be used to it at first.

*Update*

After reading all the recommendations, I got a Logitech MX1000 and I just set it up a few minutes ago.

The shape is awesome, especially the little ridges for your thumb and little finger, after 5 minutes of using the new Logitech mouse, I couldn't figure out how I used to hold my old mouse since it felt so unatural.
The only minor problem I've experienced so far is that it takes a lot of pressure to get the scroll wheel to click down. I guess that might be because it's new or I haven't got used to it yet. Other than that, its awesome.
