hey guys, yet another problem

I have a microsoft optical mouse 2.0, its wireless, and i got it for ONLY $20. Looks nice, works great

but all of a sudden it stopped working in the PS/2 mousse slot, but the mouse receiver still lights up if i press the connect button, but it doesnt stay on.

now i have to free up a usb slot for my mouse to work, any idea on whats wrong?

the receiver doesnt need a battery, its connected straight to the computer, but it works fine in the usb slot, and my mouse has brand new batteries

Did you try diffrent ports.
Im suprised that works without a battery.
Hmmm might buy one
