Ok since this was requested I decided to do it. Here is how to get the eBOOT launcher installed on your PSP.
What you need. 1) A 2.0/2.01/2.5/2.6 PSP 2) A copy of GTA LCS 3) A memory card 4) A USB cable 5) WinRar to extract files http://rarlab.com Guide One by Serideth Guide Two by Timbo400 Guide One Download the Loader from here: http://dl.qj.net/eloader-beta-for-2..../885/catid/114 Unzip the files to your desktop using Winrar, you can get this at: www.rarlab.com/download.htm Example of unzipping. Once the files are unzipped connect your PSP to your computer and open its folder up. Paste the folder called PSP that you extracted over the old one (this will overwrite save games so you might want to remove them by going into X:\PSP\SAVEDATA and copying in the files onto your desktop) Like in this pic... Once this is done you will have the eBOOT launcher installed, but now we will show you how to get the snes emulator working on it. Go to: http://files.pspupdates.qj.net/cgi-b...0,0,0,0,4,1093 and download the SNES Emulator. If that link doesn't work use my server http://animeomnislash.net/uo_Snes9x_002y32.rar Once downloaded extract the files to your desktop. Connect the PSP to your computer and open its folder, then go to X:\PSP\GAME Once in the game folder, paste in the SNES folder. ROMS can go into the GAMES folder also. And now you have done the Hard Part. Now to run the Emulator using the eLoader. Start up your PSP and play GTA, once you are in game, load the file called eLauncher. This will load it up for you. Once it has loaded (It might take up to 30 seconds to load) you will see the SNES emulator, select this. And you are done. Congrats you have taken the first steps of running 2.01/2.5 homebrew, and enjoy. FAQ My emulator doesn't load! Sometimes it doesnt and your PSP will shut down, don't panic this happens to most of us, just keep trying it will Load ![]() My SNES Lags ![]() Yes this can happen, if it does just turn the PSP to 333mhz in the snes option screen, you can get to this by moving the Joystick to the left. The eLoader wont load! Did you unload the Cheat Device first(If you use it) reports show that the eLauncher works better if this is unloaded, to unload hold L+R and press up WARNING WARNING, SNES EMULATOR RANDOMLY WORKING AND I'M GETTING MAD. Yeah, this is happening to all of us, the chances are it will be fixed so we just got to live with it for the moment. Will running my PSP on 333mhz dammage it? No, it will only make your battery go down quicker. Nothing here will work! What else? Format the memory stick and put it on again, this has been proven to work by Timbo. Ill add more if I think of them, hope this is helpfull and sticky it if you want to since it is usefull. Find my guide too retarded to follow? Well follow... Guide Two here is mine, its a tiny bit more detailed, but it's for the noobs Timbo400's Guide to getting "Homebrew 2.01+ GTA EBoot Loader working" Ok here is what you need: - A PSP with firmware 2.00+ (This guide is mainly for 2.01+ users as 2.00 already has a eboot loader) - A Memory Stick with at least one normal GTA gamesave on it (Well if you don't have one, your fu*ked altogether rofl) - USB cable to connect your PSP to your PC (To transfer files DUH!) - GTA Liberty City: Stories - This game is also required to launch the eboot loader as there is a gamesave "loophole" - The 2.0 eLoader for v2.00, v2.01 and v2.50 PSP's created by Fanjita (Thanks alot!) - Here is the link Eboot loader for 2.01+ PSPs - And some homebrew for it, in this guide I will be using the "Uo_Snes9x" - Link is here - Snes9x Emulator - Also you may need "roms" (the stuff that the emulator uses to play games), I cannot post any of that here, but you can look it up or so Starting: 1.First connect your PSP to your PC (If your stick hasn't been in sony psp format, which is where there are the psp folders, exam psp/game or psp/savedata, it is recommended you make them to make this guide a little easier for those noobs out there) 2. After you have downloaded all the files needed for you PSP you must determine what version your GTA is UK, US or the other one I don't know, really this doesn't matter i think, just unzip the files from the rar file that you downloaded (the eboot file) and then copy all the files into your psp (The files/folders are "psp", lmao just copy that and paste it into your psp directory, so it looks like this "x*:/psp" * is the drive that the psp is called, on my PC it is "H") 3. After this what has happened is that since you unzipped/unrarred the files from the eboot file you downloaded, the files are "fresh" and so what happened was that these "fresh" files will be the first to load when GTA loads, you do not want this to happen! So what I did was copy one of my normal GTA save folders onto my desktop then zipped/rarred it and then unzip/unrar it to make them "fresher" than those eboot files (this may sound slow but it gets the job done, and trust me it only takes 5 seconds ) then after the normal GTA files are unzipped just paste them back where they should be! (Your game will not be affected in anyway! it's just the files dates are renewed)4. Unzip/unrar those snes files! then what you need to do is go to your psp's game directory on your PC (x:/psp/game/) and create the folder "SNESEMU" so the directory looks like this "PSP\Games\SNESEMU" (Can it be "PSP\Games\snes9x"?) Then also make a folder called "roms" in it so the directory now goes deeper and looks like this "PSP\Games\SNESEMU\ro ms" Then paste that rom that you own into the directory so it looks like this "PSP\Games\SNESEMU\roms\r o m.smc" (Can you paste zip files?) 5. Now you can remove your PSP from your PC, insert the GTA LC:S UMD into your PSP and run it, hopefully if you have done it correctly your normal GTA saved game will load, if it hasn't re-read and re-follow from step 3. Now press start and press right till you highlight "game" then press "X" and open "Load Game", scroll down till you find "Fanjita's E-boot Loader" GTA save. Press "X" and the e-boot should load (If it doesn't redo this guide again till it does work), then a background with a white psp should show up and on the left in text "Snes9x emulator" (Something like that) should show up. Press "X" and your emulator should work. If your PSP freezes and turns off from here you have the same problem I have, if it works you are a lucky *******. Thank you for taking your time to read this Timbo400 Supernets 2.5/6 Guide Supernet2's Guide To Getting the "eLoaderBeta_260" to work on the PSP v2.50 - v2.60 By: Supernet2 * = This is the assigned drive to your PSP Steps; 1) First unzip "uo_Snes9x_002y32" to the directory "*:\PSP\GAME". 2) Then Unzip "eLoaderBeta_260" to the directory "*:\PSP" and say yes to overwrite all things if the question is asked. (No this will not delete any of your Information) Part 2, Running the "eLoaderBeta_260" on the PSP; 1) Start up your PSP, take out memory stick, and then make a new game. 2) Save on Save slot 3 or 4. 3) Now loading from the GTA LCS, Load the File that has the name "Fanjita" in it (Make sure you wait 20-30 seconds before clicking yes to continue on loading the EBoot loader. 4) you will see a screen. Click only on "uo_Snes9x_002y32" after waiting 20-30 seconds longer. 5) You will see a load screen with the SNES emulator loading (Your screen will go blank for a few seconds so dont press any buttons) 6) Click on a Rom that is saved (read the Instructions that are on the screen) 7) You are now ready to play a SNES game on the PSP Part 3, Installing Rom's on the PSP; 1) Look on google for "SNES rom Downloads" and click on a site. 2) Download the Rom you want for your SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) 3) UnZip the Rom to the directory "*:\PSP\GAME\uo_Snes9x_00 2y32" 4) Load the Rom using the Directions from Part 2 Problems/Questions; Q - Questions A - Answer's 1a,2b,3c - Problem's for that current question. Q) Why is it my "eLoaderBeta_260" wont load on my PSP? A) There is 3 possible problems. 1a) You might have loaded the "eLoaderBeta_260" to fast. Wait until the PSP self power's off, (It will self power off as a way to prevent "eLoaderBeta_260" from hacking through security flaw) Turn the PSP back on and load your GTA: LCS game, then Load the "eLoaderBeta_260" and when it show's the "Load Complete Screen" Wait 20-30 seconds. After that Click yes to load "eLoaderBeta_260" and then the screen should go blank for 5-15 seconds. Then When it go's to the Blue screen, DO NOT PRESS ANY PSP BUTTONS FOR 20-30 seconds (If you do, the PSP will not load the Emulator properly and it will freeze apon loading the emulator, causeing the PSP to shut down after 10 seconds.) Your Problem Should be fixed if done correctly. (Takes a few try's, took me 15 try's to fully figure out this problem.) 2a) You probably didnt load the "eLoaderBeta_260" loader with the GTA: LCS Game load during in game. Try Loading your GTA: LCS game first and then load the "eLoaderBeta_260". 3a) You Cant put the PSP on stand-by (Put it in power save mode due to this will cause the PSP to freeze up and crash [As in Emulator Freeze's up and you must take out battery from the PSP to shut the PSP off]). Try changing the System settings in the PSP by changing your "Power save settings" to off, this will fix the problem if done properly. Program's that i tested that Worked with my Method's 1a, 2a, 3a; 1) eLoaderBeta_260 (Thanks Fanjita for Making this it kicks ASS!) 2) uo_Snes9x_002y32 *NOTE* Oh and the PSP Memory Stick dose not need to be Reformatted for "eLoaderBeta_260" to work. Hopefully, this Guide helped you people (I used 5 hours figureing this stuff out cause i just wanted to get use to playing SNES on the PSP) Oh and You can Download My Copy of the Directions. Just Make sure you give me credit if you edit it since i did make this one by myself.
