Default [UPDATE] Reverb 1.2

Hi.
I just wanted to let some people know that I finished another update to Reverb.
I've added a number of things to the game and fixed a few bugs.
I've also written a read-me, and completed some requests.

Some screens:

Download:

Some things I've added is background music, menus, and one-way walls.
Here is the read-me...
Spoiler for read-me:

Reverb 1.2
by Chrisp6825

-----------------

To install :

Extract the Reverb folder to the GAME folder of you PSP.

-----------------

About :

This game is about trying to get the white ball into the big purple one while fighting gravity and friction with anti-gravity blocks.
You also want to get to the finish point with the shortest run, least amount of anti-gravity blocks, and fastest build time.
You have to avoid obstacles like bombs, walls, and traps, while jumping through portals and grabing keys.

This game is based on a game at addicting games I saw called "Compulse". My friend showed it to me and it seemed like a good chalenge to beat. After I beat it, I wanted to play it more. So I decided to put it on my psp and take it where ever I went, but the game was in flash and I hate the psp's lash player. So I thought it'd be fun to remake it and then play it on my psp.

This is a Lua game. I've tested it in Luaplayer HM 5.0 and 6.6. It did work on Luaplayer .20 but I added Mp3's to the game.

-----------------

Controls :

Move the "mouse" around with arrow keys or analog. If you hold L and move the analog it moves slower.
Press and hold X on the boxes to make new ones and place around on the course.
Circle resets the level, and Square deletes the top block under the mouse.
Start releases the ball, and Select pauses the game.
While in the menu, Select will also resume the game.
Up and down changes the selections in the menu's.

-----------------

Suggestions :

You can post suggestions or criticism at the Qj forums in my Reverb thread or email me at Chrisp6825@gmail.com.
I will apreciate any kind of help.
Let me know what you think!

-----------------
Change log :
-----------------

05-06-2008 - Reverb 1.2
Added main menu and in game pause-menu
Added background music
Added somewhat of a H.U.D.
"One-way" walls and floors
Option to turn music on or off
Fixed exit function (used to exit to Lowser if it was running, else it crashed)
Some graphic updates
Timer now counts on how long it takes to finish the level (used to count how long it took ball to get to finish)
Shows number of used blocks
Shows the expected number of blocks to use to finish the level, plus a challenge number also
Small improvements in physics and gravity
Greyed out menu items show what is expected in next release
Some bug fixes
*Known Bugs*
Death animation (stars) slowed down a bit. This is to keep the game from slowing down until I find a way around it.
Usual collision limitations
timer will sometimes jump up an extra 7000 seconds, for some unknown reason.
If more than one green/ yellow block is placed, it increases the strength of a single one. Still counts the new block.
Game slows down a small bit if block count is around 15 or 16.

04-26-2008 - Reverb (First Update)
Added Bombs, Death animations (stars)
Changed squares to balls
small speed up
5 levels
Some bug fixes

04-20-2008 - Reverb (Initial release)

I only added 1 more level to test and use the walls. I'm working on a level editor so I can make levels easier and so other people can make levels too.

You can also see some of the stuff I'm planning on adding later in the read-me too. There's still a bunch of stuff I want to change though.
So... tell me what you think.

A few Problems. I beat the "first" level and I'm given a victory message that says, "Level 6 passed!" and when I press start to proceed to the next level I get:

"Error: index.lau:645: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)
Press start to restart. "

Is level 6 the first one? Because that seems odd. Am I doing something wrong? I extracted everything in the zip/rar(don't remember) correctly. Maybe I search... later.

Slim psp using 3.90 M33-3. Is this for 1.50? or something else that would prevent me from using it? I only get that one level, and then I get the finger. I'd like to play this game, but it's not working out.
It looks sweet though. I love puzzles like this.

Oh.. haha ya sorry about that. I had it set to level 6 so I could jump to it quickly when running the game and testing it. I guess I went back to fix some last minute things and forgot to change it back.

I'll have a fixed one up in a bit.

EDIT
ok I re-uploaded it. Just re-download it from the link above.

Alright. It's working great now. I was able to beat most levels Pro first try. This is a great start. Disappointed when I got to Level 6 and the same thing happened again. lol
I guess the dark options are what you were talking about for the upcoming versions. Again I say, This is a great start. I'm hoping for many more levels.

One idea I just had was portals. THat would be great. Another idea I just had, you could make the ball and gravity fields smaller (basicly compress everything) to get more on the screen, allowing for much more complex Levels. Just ideas. Thanks for this. :-)
