Default X-Flash V18l (optional Lite mode)

X-Flash V18l

Hi Guys,
Since upgrading all of my PSP units to 3.52, I decided to make some alteration to X-Flash
so that it could be run on these units with limited functionality so that I could still
use the features that aren't firmware dependent. This means that the program has a new
option to be run without any firmware version checking at all, but it's still a 1.50 kernel
mode program, and I don't know if it will start, or how it will behave with newer firmwares,
or running under Time Machine. I have only tested it with 3.52 M33-3 which is one of the
last true 1.50 kernel mode hybrid firmwares.

The option to skip version checking disables MOST of the original functionality, although the
menu still operates the same, you will not be allowed to select firmware dependent features.

This may be liked for nostalgic purpose, or as in my case, it may still be useful for some of
the generic features such as firmware dump, changing gameboots, and plain black backgrounds.
All file writes are still verified.

Some new functionality may be implemented into a future version of X-Flash.
Donate a 32Mb Memory Stick to see your name appear in a special X-Flash greetings screen
which will include the nicknames of previous Memory Stick donators.

Cheers, Art.

Thanks! I had this in my apps and had to take it out once it stopped working.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want 32MB sticks? They can't even be used for magic sticks in most cases.

For keeping matching source and executable backups while programming.

Will you be working on a version of X-Flash for 3.xx kernel or 3.90 M33?

Nice! I love X-Flash! It's been a while since the last version came out.

Probably Not.
I was going to do this one for Time Machine to operate on the Memory Stick copy of firmware 1.50,
but this sort of happened instead.

My own XMB theme is as boring as they come (plain black, black gameboot, etc.),
So I still use some of these features, and wanted to keep using it for any new PSP I might get.
Also since 3.03 OE-B was the last supported fw version, and I'm upgrading to 3.52,
I wanted it to work so I could show people my programs.

I don't think a new X-Flash is really required, or worth the effort with the alternatives we have today.

Hey, I tried this out on 3.90 M33-3 and I get the boot. It says it's for 1.50, 2.71 SE, or 3.02 OE only. And yes, I've got the 1.50 kernel installed and I've changed it in recovery mode.

Did you press square at the initial disclaimer screen instead of cross?
You'll have to reinstall the program to find out. Or delete theme.XF from
the program folder.
