Default 3.30 Not Supported by Patched TA-082 Mobos?

There is a recent outcry(at least 5 people now at PSU) who cannot update past 3.11 when coming from custom firmware. Is this news of Sony finally getting it right? Can anyone confirm this? This might be big news for us guys...

They do the downgrade to 1.50 route but when they try to update to 3.30 they get a DRNffffffd7 error code. Can anyone confirm this as well? Some guy said that this one seemed different and that it seemed to check the PSP before updating...

Now it appears the problem is isolated only with the 3.03 DG TA-082s. Seems like that downgrader caused some problems in ID storage. Is there any downgrader that does not corrupt ID storage? Maybe a way to fix this problem would be to update to that DG's fw then downgrade and clean up ID storage O_o

Why the heck would anyone want to permanently take away their PSP's homebrew capabilities? I guess they deserve it if they tried. I think we should check with those who have lower hardware rev. PSPs to see if they can upgrade/downgrade.

On OE firmwares yes, but if you downgrade to 1.50 then run the Sony updates it will still work. I know a couple people at PSU who did that and have worked successfully, now 3.30 is the problem for them if they had patched mobos...

I had trouble updating to 2.80 from 1.50, maybe they should try to go to 2.00 first and then to 3.30?

Is that really true? If so then I can send the tip to people at PSU. Can anyone confirm this?
