PSPIRC: IRC Client for PSP v1.1.5 (IR 3.80 & 3.90)

Hi All,

PSPIRC is a basic IRC client for the PSP.

* What's new in this version ? *

- Fix IR keyboard issue with fw >= 3.80 for FAT PSP
(thanks to Angelo)
- It has been tested sucessufully tested on:
. SLIM 3.90-m33 (thanks to Greg from psp-hacks)
. FAT 3.90-m33
. FAT 1.5 (addon for 3.90-m33)
- Fix issue with virtual keyboard (speed)

It is mainly based on the IRC engine written by Danzel, and
the user interface i wrote for PSPSSH.

The IR keyboard support is based on the work of Harald Fielker.

Thanks to Snaap06 and KookBott for their work on previous
eboot icons and graphics.

This software is distributed under GNU V2 License, see GPLV2.txt file

It has been developed on linux for Firmware 1.5 and 3.90-m33 (FAT & SLIM),
and for the IR keyboard part it has been tested using a
Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard.

awesome stuff. will you update the other emulators with the fix for 3.90 and the keyboard? what was the issue and does it use a new version of the library?

i cant get it work..

after setup profile, press connect... it prompt "closing irc client..."

If you don't have IR keyboard then try previous version v1.1.4 :

I will update some of them may be. The issue is that under fw >= 3.80 the irda.prx seems not to be loaded by default, and i had to modify my source code to force the homebrew to load this prx on startup. There is no modification in the IR keyboard lib, only in the main function of each homebrew.

no idea why...

im running 3.90m33-3 on phat..

have you tried to connect to another irc server ? without any login/password ?

i tried few servers, none can work..

when no user filed, invalid parameters.

I've just tried on irc.mozilla.org and it works fine for me ... Do you have any plugin installed ? (try to disable them) Did you change the clock speed ?

Do you succeed to browse internet using your psp (sorry for the noob question) ?

EDIT: the message "closing irc client" means that pspirc failed to connect to the server in ~ 1 sec ... The invalid parameters mean that the user name is required.

I can try to build a new version with a timeout greater than 1 sec if you want ?

You have to have the User filled for servers or it won't let you connect because it would cause all kinds of mess. It's that first portion of your hostmask before @.

For example: PSPIRC@privatehost-13879D59.dllstx.fios.veri zon.net is what it looks like for my hostmask. (Weird. QJ is putting a space in there for some reason.)

The bolded part is what my hostmask would say there if I filled in PSPIRC for User.
