Smile PSPWrite: A Text Editor for PSP v1.0.1

Hi All,

I'm pleased to announce the first release of PSPWrite a simple text editor for the PSP.
This editor should be easier to use than Notepad (part of PSP-PDA project).

It permits to edit even huge text file, in both dos and unix mode, using iso8859-1 (8bits) characters encoding. All iso8859-1 characters are present in the "Danzeff like" virtual keyboard.

The IR keyboard support is based on the work of Harald Fielker (author of the PSP IR Keyboard Library) with a new patch from Craig to support Sprint PCS IR keyboard.

It has been developed on linux for Firmware 1.5 and 3.40-OE, and for the IR keyboard
part it has been tested using a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard.

How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.

Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public license,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

You can download it on my blog : http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/

Enjoy,

Zx.

Thanks, is very nice and takes my favourite over FlatEdit. I look forward to seeing new releases of this. BTW I am on 3.52 M33-4, downloaded the 3x one and placed it in GAME with game kernel 3.52.

God, thanks man.
You have come out with two new apps this week that I love and use.
I have not yet used your PSPWrite but I will once I get my Targus keyboard. I love your PSPFTP. Using it as we speak to transfer the PSPWrite file! I will get my Targus keyboard soon. 1 - 2 Weeks.

The Keyboard is not compatible with 3.71 M33-2 right?
I here some people over at Noobz are making a 3.71 M33 compatible piKey.
What firmware are you running zx-81?

Umm, I think I found a bug.
When I go to Exit the program by pressing Home > Quit my PSP Freezes.
I didn't try using the built in Shut Down.

that is exactly why he includes shut down buttons in his apps.

this txt editor is a good start, but i would like to see display font and size options. if you decide to support RTF format, that would be GREAT! Simple, and so very useful, not to mention it is easily transferable with MS Word so you can avoid all of the copyright laws =D

i'm sure the final project w/ pda support will be great. when pspdf came out it was my #1 application but i eventually deleted it because after a couple pages it would freeze (my guess is that it didn't unload the previous properly).
