Today I called t-mobile to cancel a friends contract and they transfered me to the "iPhone cancellation supervisor"
David: Hello, i understand you want to cancel your contract?
Me: Yeah i'm getting the iphone
David: You do know the iphone is going to cost $600 and then another $100 fee in store?
Me: Yeah, it's a cool phone, and i really didn't like tmobile all that much anyway
David: It's touch screen has no feedback, its a first and hasn't been tested that much, its bound to fail and you have to pay for a 2 year contract.
Me: Thats ok, im joining a family plan, and i'm excited for the touch screen, and its an ipod
David: We are willing to offer you the new wing phone for only 50$.
Me: Thats ok, i just want to know how i can switch my number? do i need an account number with me or anything?
David: Are you sure, the phone is very delicate too, it has a glass screen, and they aren't offering insurance..
Me: What do i need to transfer?
David: you only need your account name, there is no password when itunes asks for it
Me: Thank you
Its amazing, they have a whole section just to get you to not switch. complete with lying salesmen.
