Need one more reason to get the iPhone 3G? According to this FFC filing, the iPhone 3G is rated as having an 835MHz processor, while the first-gen iPhone only has a 620MHz processor. The new processor likely has better power management as result of it being a new generation of the ARM processor chipset. Apple downclocks the first-gen iPhone processor to 400MHz during basic tasks to save battery life, though, that could change with the iPhone 3G.
