Xbox had some disc read errors.
AFAIK PS3 suffered the most...
Both had freezes...The PS3 has also had some online issues. Specifically, that being connected to the internet caused the game to freeze more often...Zitat:

Ugh... I had it freezes twice my 360 version. I also had occasional disc read errors.
It bugs the **** out of me when I'm playing and BAM!!! disc read error.
I feel bad for you DFS.
I am exactly 45.35 % through GTA IV!
Oh, I don't mean me personally, I mean that's how it's been reported on the internets...Zitat:

Damn 100+ pages...
So do you all actually think GTA deserves a 10/10?
Yes, there are a bunch of different things you can do in the game, select which people to kill, turn on, ect...Zitat:

Uhh, i think you'd be one to say its 10/10, but i really dont think its exactly "revolutionary" enough to be a 10/10. Nor do i think its perfect.Zitat:

Im just wondering, because having a choice in a game isnt exactly new...Well in GTA's case, i guess, but otherwise not really, so you shouldnt sound too excited about that >_>
You know for a game that was delayed six months....There shouldn't be problems....
I've had less problems with the 360 version of bully. which was also a Rockstar game.
Whoever the people are that tests these games before they are released is either a coke head, retarded or both.
Yeah.Zitat:

No....It's a new story in a new city with the same gameplay....just like every other gta.Zitat:

Enough to keep GTA fans occupied, but nothing that would convert someone that didn't like it's predecessors.
Not to say that I don't like it cause I do....but i'm generally harder on games then most.
Oh well, at least it's not another first person shooter.
Well I have both versions and neither has given me any disk read errors or freezing, or network problems.Zitat:
Zitat von Noriko
Its just the luck of the draw
Since the patch, I have had no lag or freezing.

WILL IT BLEND, LOL
So I heard you can buy songs on GTA IV from something called Zits? Is this true? Would love to know because I heard a song on 102.7 the beat called Dirty New Yorker by Prodigy and I want it.... So can someone explain this Zits thing, or would it be easier to just buy the HNIC Part 2 Album on Amazon or somewhere else?
Or just download it...
In relation to the discussion of the actual game and how "good" it is...When I first started it up I was less than impressed. The core gameplay hasn't changed, and maybe that's a good thing. Driving is more difficult, cops are easier to outrun, the story is better but still a GTA storyline..
I find myself getting the same out of this version of GTA that I did with GTA III. Lately I've been looking at games and asking myself, which ones do I have constant fun playing. I've narrowed it down to Halo 3, Track Mania (PC), COD4 and Skate. With these games I can have fun all the time, but GTA is more of a hassle for me in order to have "fun". I love the online mode for GTA, especially Cops n' Crooks, although it is really difficult to find games - with no way of telling who's playing what it's hard to decide what to play and what's the easiest to play at a specific time.
I would give GTA a 9/10 if asked for a numerical value. Whether or not someone should buy it depends on the individual. Many who have played previous GTA's have done so because it was GTA, and they would definetly buy whatever the next one is. For myself however (having only played GTAIII all the way through and snippets of the others) find that this game just doesn't offer as much as I thought...story is slow and takes a while to progress in the end.
Trackmania? Do you have a Steam name ipaq?
GTA4 should be a 8/10
Its just another GTA.
COD4 is still more fun then this.
I have a Steam name, it's Frozenwashcloth but I play Track Mania Nations Forever - the free version, unsure what is different in that compared to the paid version (on that my name is JayPaq).Zitat:

Also, what I was trying to get at earlier for my small GTA review - the fun only lasts for so long
Completely agree with that. The game did take a bit for me to get into, then I became hooked as the story progressed, but after that, it's just kinda meh, not really much else to do. Sure there's the side missions, and the online(which I don't find to be anything spectacular), but the real charm that was there as I was playing through the story just doesn't seem to be there anymore, and I find GTA IV just hitting in my collection to not be played very often anymore. It's disappointing, there was so much potential there, but unfortunately here we are just a few weeks after launch and the game has already lost its appeal :(Zitat:

GTA: Vice City is still my favorite GTA.
I just hope the next GTA will be a new place we haven't seen in 3D already. One of my biggest disappointments was that IV was back to Liberty City, a place I've already played through 2 other games. I was really hoping for London or a completely new city that wasn't in GTA:1
I played GTA 4 so much, that when I played COD4 a few days ago, I got the controls mixed up.
How do I check my completion percent on the social club website?
You can click the 100% Club, it'll say access denied, then it'll show your current percentZitat:
Zitat von FullMetalCat
I'm 87.25% and it says 52%... Ghey
Yay, it takes a few days to actually update.
I'm so confused.... Don't people know that Liberty City in GTA4 doesn't look anything like Liberty City in GTA3? It's a completely different city. The only similarities are in the name.
I thought that too, i love the first island map on GTA3, but the new map is too confusing!
There are some similarities astecially, the hill near Michelle's house (Or the other name if you've go tthat far) but yes there a few similarities there. But if you listen to the radio the mystic woman on POL got kicked off of her previous radio show (GTA 3, 10 years ago in game) and Lazlo has his own radio show when he use to be on Chatterbox in GTA 3 (Good Times)So it is the sam ecity, just better. I always see it as a different perspective on Liberty City, as in the eyes of an immigrant instead of a already resident.Zitat:

But I tried to look for Tommy Vercetti on the police computer, but it couldn't find it :(
Spoiler for yeah..:
tell me about itZitat:

Does anyone else use taxi's for everything, or just me?
I do mostly.
I'm not a fan of it :/Zitat:
Zitat von Chrono6456
I have yet to take a Taxi anywhere..I just run around looking for motorcycles and accidently get into some cop trouble...then I run away and finally find a motorcycle while being chased...
