Here’s what I did to beat it on Veteran which took a bunch of tries:
Run into the square and throw any and all C4 on the cars in the area to help clear a path for you later. Then run towards the entrance of the apartment you exited before getting to the Ferris Wheel. (The place where the enemies rounded the corner before the choppers dropped them in.) Once you get into that area, you should be in a dead end alley, with the main opening to the Ferris Wheel immediately behind you. Turn around and take a knee behind the concrete structure so the ferris wheel is on your right. You should have a limited view of enemies rounding a building coming towards you. Snipe all of them and deal with the occasional dog that attacks. You really can’t get hurt in this position at all. Once the chopped is about to land, start heading toward MacMillan and when things get a little hairy, blow your C4. Once you make it to MacMillan, the support troops from the landing chopper will cover you and take everyone else out.

Been trying to play for a few hours earlier today, with about 1 in 10 games I join actually starting and the rest resulting in "Game Lobby Closed" ¬_¬
Is this a recent problem or have I been lucky up till now?
It was doing that for me the night of the update, so it's a recent issue.
