Well, I was completely confused.

If you kept reading I was just laying out some background info stating that a semi-auto assault rifle has more kick than a fully auto LMG, which confuzzles me.

In any event, after some x-mas shopping after work, I'm sure I'll be in the mood the shoot hippie in the face. Care to join me?

I'm just waiting for him to play... I haven't seen him play CoD 4 yet...

You see, thats what I was going to do later today. Just open it and see what inside then re-wrap. If its not COD4 then I just walk to the store in the morning and get it.

my 360 has 3 RRoD and cant play a game for more than 5 minutes without freezing so i am sending it in over break but i am getting a ps3 for Christmas so dfs do you have any games for that? also i might go and rent a 360 for a week to play a little CoD 4 with you guys

I have no games for PS3... I pretty much use it for nothing but a Blu-Ray player...

I'm trying to rent UTIII, but I'm not gonna buy it... I'd wait for the 360 version for that.

i think thats what i am going to do for that game too. the games i am going to get for my ps3 are resistance ratchet and clank and maybe warhawk

Don't get resistance, rent it first or if you find it cheap used, grab that.

Resistance online is fun. Easily one of the best multiplayer experience on the PS3 so far. Insomniac did a great job and are constantly patching it with nice features. A rather large community but there are some really badass players out there. It's anything but generic.

I wish I had more time to play it.

But now that it's been out for a while, I'd just try and find it used. Don't pass up on CoD4 though.

Resistance is the most overrated game in the history of video games. It only got as much pub is it did, because it came out at the same time as GoW, and it was the only good PS3 game at the time (or for the next few months.)

I'd skip over Resistance all together... Make it a rental at the most. And don't buy CoD 4 twice... It's a great game, but that's just retarded.

...you're kidding right? It's taken you this long to get an airstrike? Wow. I tied my streak of 10 last night, then the game ended or it probably would have went longer. I was having an awesome game of Hardcore Team Deathmatch.

hippie got a little taste of me and DFS on top of our game last night. We would put up more than 2/3 of the kills for our teams for about five matches straight and the remaining four players would pick up the last 25.

hey my whole screen had some weird gradient over it and it stopped working when i tried to restart it so wait till i have some time to get used to it again

According to PSM3, the PS3 version is superior. Due to the fact that the dev team set aside a special team for the Online Mode on the PS3 version, so it works better. Sounds a bit weird, but its what they said. But, 360 does have a bigger fanbase, right?

How would the online mode work better? According to user reports it's been worse than the 360's (lag, networking issues?). I call BS on whoever claimed that. I believe the 360 version does have a larger userbase though. And lastly, the 360's controller is perfect for FPS (the thumbsticks on different levels of the controller make it easier for me to control than the PS2/PS3 controller)

XboxLive already has a framework in place whereas the PS3 version has less framework, a special team was needed, but that also implies that a team was working on xbox live too, otherwise the 360 version would have no online play.

With games which are online and multi platform, you chose the console that your friends have. I play CoD 4 on the PC, but hardly anyone on QJ plays the PC version, so I'm missing out. Judging from the size of the threads, most people on QJ play this game on the xbox360, so that would be the best platform to get it on if you are interested in playing people from here.

Better framerate on the PS3? Is that a fact? I'm just saying this because I've only noticed once or twice where it dropped in the 360 - the most memerable and the only one I remember is when I was doing 4 split-screen multiplayer.

Many people are quick to say that the PS3 version of games is always faster, but we have little to no proof of this and they forget to point out one thing - the 360 version runs "just as" fast as the PS3 version to the naked eye, I'm very satisfied with how it runs ont the 360.

Until there is a game that really benefits from a faster processor and that changes the gameplay entirely, then I believe we could say that the PS3 version of a game is better

Not a fact, just Personal observation. It wouldn't even be noticed unless you're looking for it. Surely not enough to warrant calling the ps3 version superior.

Anyways, just go to level 45 tonight. My K/D ratio had been going down, but I managed to get it to start heading back up. Hope I can improve it even more tomorrow. This is going to be a fun Christmas vacation.

lol im actually not that bad online anymore, im averaging at least 2 airstrikes a day. Also im finally starting to get more kills then deaths.
