honestly, think about it, what makes a really great game. I dont think it has anything to do with graphics or gameplay or features, i think a good game is simplistic and easy. sure those others play some part in it but really... i find myself playing N64 still.... N64... the graphics on that are a jolk, and gameplay sure its good, but one thing they all have in common is that theyre simple. I mean look at us, we put emulatos on our psp's our pc's iphons, everything so we can play games that were made 10-20 years ago! i bet ive played legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 20 times! its a really great game, arguably the best game yet. I mean how long has super mario bros been out? and we still play it today. i dont see anyone going back to play a need for speed or ratchet and clank game all the way through after they had it for a long time, sure maybe pop it in once and a while to play a couple of games, but hardly ever play al the way through. I have wii, and i play the new zelda once and only once, sure it was a great game but it just doest have the same replay value.
i just think its sad how we still play games 20 years old with horrible 2-D graphics, really bad audio, no/little story line, no features or upgradable anything, with the exception of a few like zeldas and stuff, but wtf, we have people working on games that take months to create, cost $60 top of the line HD 3-D graphics awesome story lines, awesome audio sound effects and what? maybe some of the best we'll play for a while, sure online helps but wth why cant we create games that well still be playing when theres an xbox1080 or ps5 why do we only play these game once or twice before we trade them in or toss them aside?
anyone else realize this? fell the same way? dont feel the same way, im sure theres a few.... everyones got an opinion feel free to share if you read what took me 5min to type on my rant as it continues....
so what do you think is the reason we keep coming back to these old games?
