It looks much better in person without a camer's flash on it. It has the following
+3700 sandy oc'd to 2.8ghz
x800xl oc to I forgot (May get a 7900gt soon)
2gb of pc3700 muskin ram
200gb segate hd
All in all its a great rig and I know the 7900gt will really make it shine once again.
I think it's about time you did some cable management. That's definitely obstructing the air flow.

And thats without my water cooling installed, I don't think I'll bother with these temps, and the noise isn't horrible. Amazing the difference 120mm fans make over 80mm.

Sucky temps, which is why I might get liquid cooling during the Summer. Currently still doing my research on it and saving up.

The hottest My CPU has been at was 60-65°C. All the fans were cloged with dust and the computer was full of it. I had to get a airgun and blow out all the dust because the computer would crash constinaly at that CPU temperature. And after it went down to about 38-42°C.

The Hard Drive would start having trouble at 128°C but the CPU (depending what it is) would be more than stable. My old Athlon XP+ Idled at around 60°C and dropped to 56°C when I liquid cooled it. If my memory serves me they are rated with 85°C as a max temp.Zitat:

By the way, i have THE ****TIEST wiring ever :p when i had my whole case open today, i tried to get the wires behind the mobo like...i think nevolution has em? but they would get back there :( they wouldnt reach, im so angry lol

I got them really tidy at one point but had a ribbon cable going over the fan on my gfx card and the temps shot up so I moved it and it was still tidy, closed the case, turned it on and there was a wire rubbing a fan so I ripped it all to pieces (not literally) and put it back together how it was before I started. I'll give it another go some time. lol

when iwas out at compusa, i was looking for cable wraps, like on some power supllys, they come with them, liek the mesh things that go around the wires? For looks leave it where it is. For best cooling I'd have one at the front and one at the back.
My PSU has that braiding your talking about. It's UV reactive too so looks awesome. lol For really tidy cables a modular PSU would be best, but they're so expensive.
I wanna get some rounded IDE cables tho because they're the hardest thing to try and keep tidy.

Modular PSU....I say nay cause they're nowhere close to as good as non-modular PSU's.
The braiding/cable wraps is called sleeving. But if you're going to hide all your cables anyway, then there's no point buying it.
And for the fans, I'd place them more for performance/airflow than for looks but that's personal preference I guess.
As for the wire management, I actually don't have any wires behind my mobo. :D
They're all hidden either behind the hdd tray or in the first 5.25" bay. And I have them snaking in and out through hidden slots here and there. :P
And a trick to hide the power and cable for the HDD is by putting the HDD in backwards with the cables leading from the front of the case. Too bad I can't do that cause my front intake is in the way. :(

From the rough pictures that I see of the CPU heatsink/fan, I think you should keep the two rear intakes where they are.
theres a side fan, that blows almost right into the heatsink lol..
What HSF is it anyway? Stock?
And what's the CFM on the side fan?

yes, the heatsync is stock with the cpu, as for the CFM i dont know :)
I what ways are modular PSUs bad? I've seen many reviews which say the voltage is very steady. Almost all modular PSUs are aimed at enthusiasts.Zitat:

But if you are going to get one, don't get one all for looks.
You could look at the Enermax ones. The Hyper ones should be alright also.

I would personally go for a Seasonic modular PSU.
The 700W model has only a 3% variance in volatges across all rails. At 700W that is pretty steady. I have no idea what the resistance problem is about. As long as you can provide a steady, unvariable stream of electricity to a component, it doesn't really matter.
I guess resistance could decrease efficiency but the Seasonic PSU has an 80% efficiency which is pretty much the standard.
The potential loosening that would occur would be totally up to the manufacturer rather than a generalization of all modular PSUs.
The other links you posted are pure anecdotal evidence. While there is nothing wrong with that, I prefer something with a little more backing.

While the Seasonic M12 reviewed in that article was 700W. You can get something as low as 500W if you don't intend to do SLI/Crossfire.

That was why I said one front one rear. It's how mine is, the front sucks in the rear sucks out. Also has the PSU sucking out, I think I made the case window fan suck out to but don't remember. That's the only one I wasn't sure about what to do with it. Because sucking in it would add cool air to the wind tunnel, but sucking out it takes heat out that was brought in from the front going over the hard drives. It would also suck air from the front past the PSU.Zitat:

All coolers are Zalman and there is only 1 case fan which is an Antec Tricool which came with the case. As you can see, I hate flashy leds and prefer a classic silent looking case. The case fan and hard drives are mounted on rubber so there is very little vibration. If it wasn't for the light infront, I wouldn't be able to tell if my PC was on or not since its so silent.
The only problem is those fan controller, I can't find an efficient way to route those cables to the outside of my case. I'm planning on buying one which will fit into the slot above my optical drives. Also my general cable management was pretty bad, but I was so excited about testing my new equipment that I did a rush job of it.

Just a heads up gman. There'll be an 360 mod coming in here soon from me. I say soon but it might be 6 months because thats what is left on the warranty. I'm not sure that I can wait that long before opening up my 360 tho so it might happen sooner.
I'm thinking about going back and doing more to my PS2, I've got a Hard Drive now so I'm thinking about wiring some LEDs up to show the HDD activity, not sure how much of a pain it will be because obviously I got no space left in the HDD bay now. I'll see how it goes tho.
