Just a heads up gman. There'll be an 360 mod coming in here soon from me. I say soon but it might be 6 months because thats what is left on the warranty. I'm not sure that I can wait that long before opening up my 360 tho so it might happen sooner.

I'm thinking about going back and doing more to my PS2, I've got a Hard Drive now so I'm thinking about wiring some LEDs up to show the HDD activity, not sure how much of a pain it will be because obviously I got no space left in the HDD bay now. I'll see how it goes tho.

Sweet! I wanna mod my 360 asap lol. I also bought a hard drive for my ps2 :tup: and i was able to keep two leds in it. There really is no space for too many :(

What do you think of the X-Fi?
I should be getting my X-Fi Platinum in the next 1-2 days. But just wanted yet another third party opinion on it. I know the Platinum doesn't have the 64mb X-Ram, but the general sound quality shouldn't vary that much.

It definitely wont be a 6 month wait now. Eagerness got the better of me and I took my 360 apart. Its a lot smaller inside than I thought it would be.

And I got a samsung drive so I'll be flashing the BIOS soon. Yay for piracy!

I just hope that mine doesn't die now because I've voided my warranty 6 months early. If it does I just guess I'll try some new fans and better thermal paste.

edit: when did u get that reciever? i read that its 400 watts and mine is 600

You know, i really don't recall, but it was about 2 years ago, bought it for my new tv at the time and had it about 8 months then picked up an Onkyo TX-NR5000E at an eletronics show, so i use that for my sound system/tv downstairs and the de487 is relegated to my consoles :)

The onkyo though, damn bro, it takes futureproofing to a whole new level lol

Damn thing takes my ps3 hdmi input directly for sound, and spits out the hdmi to the tv after stealing the audio.
Also it can do some funky stuff with it , as well as play music directly off a network share via network cable lol
