It may not hurt, but headphones change the atmosphere in your ear and create pressure which hurt your ear drums. It doesn't hurt, but it does damage your ears more than speakers.

typically that is right but my headphones have dolby headphone which simulates a real room so it doesn't damage your ear drums as much. it doesn't even sound like you have them on when you use them. when i used to use a speaker system and had it up loud it would hurt my ears and damage them because of the white noise i heard sometimes. but with my head phones i don't get either anymore. they are the best headphones ever.
only 300$ though.

So? It has simulated 5.1 surround sound, that doesn't make a difference. They're still covering your ears.

You're ears shouldn't hurt because of a loud stereo :neutral: I have been a foot or two away from a 2 foot speaker blasting at it's max potential so you could still hear it from a football field away, and it didn't hurt my ears. Besides, you can always turn your stereo down a bit.

$300 for headphones? Waste of money imo. You could get a Wii for that much.

Edit: Those phones aren't $300, they're $400. That's $500 Canadian. You could get a 360 for that much :(

So that means I am willing to spend a lot of money on ANY audio appliance receivers/amps, speakers, headphones...its all worth it to me and I'm pretty sure trigun thinks the same.

i got them for 299$ on ebay.
and they kick ass they are totally worth it,trust me. it's great to use during the night or when you want to play loud but you don't want to disturb others in the house.
get a wii? i got one and i don't like it. but i got one,my brother plays it the most cuz he's a nintendo fanboy and hates sony and microsoft and says things like"computers are not meant to play games!" yet he goes and plays WoW anyway...what an idiot. when i bring that up he's like"it's not a game it's an mmo!" .............

I think sound is important too. I'd rather have a nice 5.1 speaker setup with an SDTV, than an HDTV with built in to the TV stereo speakers.

Omfg.........I cant stand listening to TV with the built in speakers, It doesn't do justice even on my HDTV. Ive had a 5.1 setup for years and I seriously couldn't play games without it...Even after buying a HDTV I still say sound is more important to me.

Ya I agree $400 for headphones is a waste can get a better sorrund sound set for alot cheaper plus how do you use a mic with them on?

i can if i had xbox live or something.
but these are audiophile quality headphones. they work with pretty much anything even use them with my pc or handheld.
they are wireless with a built in recharging station for rechargeable batteries that come with it that last about 16 hours on a full charge.
they can do anything and they have better sound quality than most 5.1 systems i've listened too. the audio is more discreet , you can hear every little detail in whatever you are listening too. Heck they block out external sound too so if play in a loud enviroment they still sound great.
the only real problem with them is that it doesn't have alot of bass but just enough to keep it sounding great. don't expect the BOOM BOOM BOOM you can get from normal subwoofers.

trust me when i say these sound better than alot of high quality wired headphones. after about 25-50 hours of burn in time they sound better than any pair of wired headphones i've ever used.
and FYI they don't run on RF wireless technology like most wireless headphones.

Again, I doubt that your headphones sound as good as high quality wired headphones. I don't think you understand the difference between Wired and Wireless when it comes to headphones.

If it doesn't run on RF then it probably runs on BlueTooth. Which is still crappy >_<

EDIT: Ok so they are iR headphones? Ehhh, I read some reviews on it, and the overall subject was, for Wireless headphones they are essentiatlly top tier headphones. When compared to wired headphones at the same price though, it falls into mid tier.

So in other words, good wireless headphones.

i didn't think they be that great at first either but once you get burn in time they sound great. if you don't like the included earphones you can plug your other wired set into it and it makes them sound better too. ir is better than bluetooth and rf. no interference what so
go read the cnet review their only con was"it's pricey" and that's good from cnet

I really don't think you understand what I'm saying <_<.

For wireless headphones, the ones you have are around the best. However, when comparing it to wired headphones at the same price, its probably in the middle. I'm not saying they are bad headphones, I'm sure they are great and sound great, but you really shouldn't compare them to audiophile headphones.

i get what you are saying . what i'm saying is that they sound just as good as any pair of wired headphones in the same price range.

theres actually 3, two cores (both working) and the premium (also working now i did the clamp replacement mod). only the premiums case is a ****ty transparent one with a pile of worn out screw mounts, so i just leave it out as is.

lol my skateboard is so screwed up from using it now that all my griptape has been ripped off and you can't see the logo's on the bottom of the board anymore. plus my trucks are all facked up.

ah nvm, you're using your hifi as your audio supply.

Sweet, I did that few years back. It works surprisingly well.

I'm just using normal stereo cables and it sounds great.

smoking around your snes = -10 points
overloading your power sockets with no surge supressor = -10 points
owning a wii = -10 points

:P

It must suck to have that TV that low. And where's the 360? :(
