I thinking about getting these tv right now...

Tv 1 From $999.99 to $549.96
this a great deal. I never owned a Toshiba before but this is a great deal I just hope I can get it for this price when I get paid...

My little sister owns a Magnavox and am a big fan of them and her tv. This is a nice deal also..

It looks great,has a nice under 600 bucks,vga port.Plus tons of a/v outputs.What you think.

I really dont need the tv to be all that "great,this is mainly going to be my monitor for my pc,since I been watching alot of online video from hulu I need something viewable...

Also since I runing on a very old 32mb gfx card will the picture look like ****?DOnt want to bother upgradeing it since I be getting a new pc in fall...

The picture will look fine. I'll tell you this though. A 32" as a monitor isn't as great as it seems. Its a major eye sore and at 1366x768 it won't look as good as a dedicated computer monitor.

First of I edit my post...

2ed of I plan on putting a tv switcher so I still be keeping my 15 inch for web and stuff but for anything media I going to switch it to the tv...

I'd go with the toshiba. I was about to buy a 42" toshiba but they were out of stock.

I don't own a NES or SNES so no point in getting them.

Crystal Chronicles and Tactics never interested me. But the DS ones do, I just can't be bothered to buy anything for it.

I'd like to do more with this thread though. Sorta like a place where we can come and talk about equipment and help each other on future purchases. I know we have an electronics thread or whatever...But it's completely dead.

I was also thinking about posting our TV screenshots. I saw a thread of this on another forum and it was real entertaining. Some people can get magnificent shots (now you can put that new camera to use ;D)

I love these types of threads, funny you mention it. The projector screenshot war thread over at AVS is wicked, I read it start to finish the other day. I've done the same thing for this thread but some peoples links are dead/broken.

My G.F. talked me into getting a Wii yesterday.

It was really the first time I had spent some time with it. Never really touched it at stores except for once.

I'll post some new pics. I was going to wait until I got my new receiver but I've changed it a bit since my last post. Got rid of my VCR and PS2.

I really want a new DVD rack.

Galaxy is outstanding. It's the only reason I still own a wii.

If you do intend to get rid of the wii I recommend playing at least these games before you do:

Super Mario Galaxy (probably the best platformer ever made)
Zelda: Twilight Princess (probably the best action rpg ever made)
No More Heroes (absolutely stunning game)
Zack & Wiki (brilliant platformer)
Resident Evil 4 (Only really worth bothering with if you've not played the GC/PS2 version)
NiGHTs (Great sequel to one of the best Sega games ever)
Super Paper Mario (text heavy rpg but gameplay is solid)
Elebits (kinda like hide and seek, fantastic concept, very well implemented)

And these 3 if the series interest you:
Mario Kart Wii
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Metroid Prime 3

First off gman you are the man of this thread you the TMK you have way more post in here than anyone. I really dont post that much in here....But since I getting a job I can finial get a real setup.. Many people dont know this but my Computer chair came from the trash and my dad wont buy me a new one!!!I spend most of my teen years on this thing and I cant even get something that has a nice feeling for my ass...While my mom bought a $$10000 Furniture set for our living room..

Anyway when I first read user friendly post I thought it said something about his GF rack....lol...BUt it nice you got a wii, I love mine..... I own most of the games list uptop and use the thing alot...It even great for watching videos on youtube,they look way better than my ps3..

Also how old are you user friendly??

Btw phil I heard nights kinda sucked...So I never borthed to pick it up

Thanks for the tips guys. Out of that list Phil, I've wanted to try Twilight Princess and No More Heroes since I saw them. Not really an RPG guy although I could see myself liking Mass Effect.
