yup...but there is no Summerboard folder. Only a folder called Lockdown. I've tried making the Summerboard folder myself but that was no good.
how come at the bottom of summerboard it says: Summerboard 3.1 (inactive)
could this be because i have 1.1.3? Whenever i try to install the themes that come with summerboard they don't work.
hmmm....I dont know why it wouldnt have a summerboard folder
You should try completely uninstalling summerboard (along with all the files you put on to get it working on 1.1.3) and try again
i didn't add any files to make it work on 1.1.3

yes...i just installed the latest version from installer...The app itself works but all themes that came with it don't, and i can't find the summerboard folder, if there even was one created.
After you changed your system version to 1.1.2 did you follow the video guide i linked to in post #416

Hey guys, I have just updated my 1.1.2 jailbroken iPod to 1.1.3 using the Dev Team's method (iJailbreakMobile), which was recommended by a handful of people but I've been having problems installing apps from installer.
It seems that themes for SummerBoard install fine (and SummerBoard) but most of the applications crash Installer when it starts installing them.
SSH'ing into my iPod to manually install installs everything but errors out when installing the executable file of every app I have tried.
Maybe I have no system space left?
I will have to re-route the Applications folder, maybe?
I don't know, but uninstalling all my Applications didn't help so I have decided it's something with Installer...
Please help :(
I have the same problem but my systeme is 1.1.2
Restore. Go to 1.1.2 Jail Break. Use Boss Tools to move your application folder. Then update.
You should have really moved that folder a long time ago.
Did you update your installer.app to the latest version [i]before[/] updating to jailbroken 1.1.3?
If so theres your problem. Try going back to jailbroken 1.1.2 but this time dont update installer and get to 1.1.3 (then you can update it)
Trying to go to 1.1.3 again. This time BossTools actually worked on my touch, so maybe, just maybe 1.1.3 will actually work this time.

it installs on the springboard for me, but when i sftp into my ipod, there is no summerboard folder where i would put all of the themes into. And the default themes don't work either.

how did you get summerboard working?
with the change the file so that the ipod thinks it is 1.1.2 can i install installer.app with out any problems?

is there a way of getting the installer.app without having to downgrade from current 1.1.3 because for me it is a real hassle to have to but everything back onto my ipod.

If you haven't already JBd 1.1.3, I suggest using the official Dev Team soft upgrade. Just JB 1.1.2, install BSD Subsystem 2.0, and install the official Dev Team Update [From Conceited Software, version 1.1.3-3]. When that's installed just go back to your home screen and run the Updater program.Zitat:

That or iJailbreak Mobile work in exactly the same way. I had problems with the official dev team one though while iJailbreak mobile worked fine.
Why do I have to spoof my version to 1.1.2? I just want to change the text to like letters and stuff unless there are reasons for changing it to 1.1.2?
It seems downloading Summerboard themes with installing still doesn't work correctly, but I believe I can add them in manually as I found the folder where themes should go and there should be no problems with that.
The official dev team version seems to have less problems, I've updated with 1.1.3-2 and I've seen no problems, but the dev team put 1.1.3-3 on there, to fix problems people have had with music/videos not playing or something.Zitat:

downgrading to 1.1.1 then i'll jailbreak it, then go to 1.1.2, jailbreak it, and try that dev soft upgrade thing. Hopefully this will work.
Exactly what I did, everyone I know did it the same way, we've had no problems with 1.1.3 or SummerBoard [except before we had bosstools .35 to move apps, which you should get right away after JBing 1.1.3]Zitat:

When you're done updating, install bosstool 0.35, move your ringtones, apps, and then fonts in that order. I don't know why but I heard that if you don't do it that way it wont work sometimes, and I just wanted to be safe so I did it that way and it was fine.
