Hey guys I'm going to be getting another iPod Touch later today and was wondering if I should jailbreak it to 2.0 or 2.0.1?
Is 2.0.1 more stable when jailbroken compared to 2.0?

On my iPhone, it's more stable and faster (keyboard, safari, etc.), it's worth just going straight to 2.0.1.

Hey guys, just a quick question. Wher does iTunes store the download update? I downloaded through iTunes and I can`t find the file. I don`t want to redownload the whole 200mb ._.

Ok, now I have a question: why can I no longer SSH into my iPhone after updating to 2.0.1 and re-downloading OpenSSH?

Try rebooting your iPhone. If that doesn't work, toggle your WiFi on and off until it works. Works for me all the time :)

After I jailbroken my iphone 3g, it doesn`t get any signal.. Does it mean that my iPhone is locked? Any solution to this? Been googling but found nothing. Maybe my keystring but.. Anyone can help?

EDIT: Fixed, I have to tick off youtube activation fix

Mine is Australian iPhone (hope this help others who read this)

Yeah, the youtube fix shouldn't be check unless your using an unlocked 1st gen iphone on another carrier. It does not matter what country.

How do you change permissions with WinSCP on SSH?

EDIT: I found it, Right Click > Properties.

Madsoul, I cant figure out how to get your organ music player and sliders working with winterboard, have you figured out how to use them, or any custom sliders and music players with winterboard?

nope, since i just got jailbroken and my computer is being an ass and wont let me get into my ipod. :/ so if someone could pack together all the graphic files i could try making something new

I'd get them for you If I had any idea where to get them, but i dont even know where the fies are located on my ipod

I rebooted my iPhone, router and PC though, then it worked xD

Damn..i'm getting a "application cannot be opened" message after restarting my iPod. Any fix for this?

Does anyone know if there is a price drop planned for the touch anytime in the next few months. since the 8GB iphone is $100 cheaper than the 8GB touch, i thought there would be a price drop soon.

Edit: one last thing. Is there a new itouch revision in the works. I find that when I buy consumer electronics, a cheaper better revision is announced the next week. Just want to be sure

I doubt it since you have to get butt****ed by at&t in order to get an iphone for that price.

I heard a new iPod touch was in the works and would be released around September or something. I remember reading it somewhere but probably just another rumor.

There are logs in the iPod touch's firmware that suggest a firmware revision. Doubt it will be anything big though.

I cant think of much they can add besides the obvious stuff like better battery life. It has to be able to run the App Store, so software wise it'll be identical.

Hmm..doubt it. Its not really a hardware selling feature. No one with a iTouch is going to really get a new one for GPS and its not really a incentive for people to get one now.

I don't know, I'll haggle with the teenagers when I go pick it up.

I wish I didnt have to get it out, unlock it, and do all that **** just to skip a track. Hopefully they can fix that in the new version, if there is one.

Doesn't the iTouch remote have the skip and pause button on the earphone's wire like the iPhones?

Double tap the HOME button.

It'll bring up the PLAY/PAUSE and next track buttons. Still inconvenient. But its better then nothing.

But on the bright side my moto s9 controls work great on my ipod touch....

My brothers getting a 3G iPhone today. Can i use the iPhone headphone remote on my iTouch?


Also, does "unlimited web browsing" mean unlimited 3G internet? Or is that "roaming"?

or if they can make it like that jailbroken app where you could swipe on the screen to change song and swipe up and down for volume. that would be nice.
