Just searched about, it isnt easy.

I didnt want to JB 2.0 untill the installer was released and everyone started developing for it, no point in jailbreaking now just to copy across a few applications.

I'm pretty sure someone will find a way to install the apps without jailbreaking, I have a few ideas, not sure if they'll work but it's worth a try.

AARGGHHH!!

im so ****ing angry at the 2.0 update. common! why release such a broken firmware that hangs at the apple logo all the time, ****s up your apps randomly for no reason and dont let you start them, and randomly hangs all the time...

Can't you just plug it into iTunes and restore? That gets ride of the password lock.

There are actually two ways of installing the cracked apps. One is very easy and was patched on the new Itunes that came out (V7.7.1 I think). I think the other way still works though. google it. Oh and speaking of jailbreaking I found it very easy. The only bad thing about the whole process was restoring from a backup and syncing my iphone with itunes to copy everything all of my music, photos, e.t.c. I only had about 4 Gigs left on my 16gb Iphone after I was done

I hope Apple hurry up with 2.1. I've just had to reinstall all my applications for the 5th time. I think its something to do with Syncing and backing up to your PC.

No one knows, but if it was going to happen it would have happened when the 3G iPhone came out. Theres not much they can add to the iTouch right now.

What applications have you installed? I didnt have it for the first few days on 2.0, then i started to get them alot.

I think Madsouls is 8GB but mines 16GB so that doesnt really answer..

Mines an 8gb, and I have like 4-5 apps, no problems with lag or freezing, other than maybe a little bit of video lag when im playing a movie and I pop up the menu to change volume and stuff

I went into the Apple Store today to ask about it. The guy there was completely baffled. Not only did he not know what was happening, the only reply he gave was "Try Restoring it, but not on the computers in store, on your own computer!".


Anyway, i decided to restore. The first few goes it backed up to the old iPod settings, so it was bringing up the old apps that were crashing. Then i restored it and didnt back it up. Then re-downloaded the applications and everything seems fine. Gotta give it some time and see if the crashes happen again.

I would say yeah, now is baout the time, because there are more apps on cydia now, and more are being developed, and installer is on the way

I only know of the way to jailbreak using a mac, the windows way is pretty much the same I think though, sorry I cant really help you much

Why though? 2.0.1 is still not jailbreakable, so why not just jailbreak 2.0 for now?

since 2.0 is damn unstable and il rather have the bug fixes then changing themes.
