I jailbroke 2.0.1 thanks to Ranmax!

You were right about Installer. Its a bit broken, i kept getting error messages about missing items.

I'll write a little tutorial here:

Spoiler for Tutorial:

1. Download the latest version of winpwn from here. Make sure that if you have a previous WinPwn installed, that you uninstall it.

2. Download the 2.01 firmware for your device. In your case madsoul, you need the iPod Touch firmware.

3. Open winpwn and click Browse .ipsw and pick the firmware you just downloaded.

4. Once it Says "Be Sure to connect an iPod" make sure you connected that device and press ipsw Builder.

5. Once your in the ipsw builder click Install Cydia and Install Installer and the Youtube activation fix.

6. Once the appropriate boxes are checked click build ipsw. You will be prompted to give your new custom firmware a location on your hard drive and a name. Give it a name and a location you will remember. Now click save and wait patiently.

7. Once it saves the custom firmware you should get a pop up that says it was successful so press ok to that and now go back to the original winpwn screen and click iPwner and locate the custom firmware you just created above and click open then wait a few seconds until you receive another prompt telling you itunes has been pwned succesfully.

8. Connect Your iPod and Open iTunes

9. Put your iPod into DFU Mode, by doing this:
-Turn the volume of your computer up so you can hear Windows
-Hold Power Button and turn off device
-Wait 5 seconds
-Hold Power + Home Button For 10 seconds
-Let go of power button but keep pressing the home button for 10 seconds
-When you hear the Windows sound in itunes that your device is connected you can let go.

10. Itunes should be open and it should prompt you saying that "your ipod is in recovery mode and you need to restore" so say ok and Shift and click the restore button. Now you should be able to navigate to the custom firmware you saved in step 6. Once you choose it click open and let itunes do the rest. when its all done (it should take anywhere from 10-20 minutes) you should have app store and cydia on your iPod.

Your Done!

BTW, not all credit goes to me for that tutorial, i picked up bits of it from other sites. But compiled it and made it a bit simpler.

Is 2.0.1 more stable when jailbroken compared to 2.0?

On my iPhone, it's more stable and faster (keyboard, safari, etc.), it's worth just going straight to 2.0.1.

Ok, now I have a question: why can I no longer SSH into my iPhone after updating to 2.0.1 and re-downloading OpenSSH?

Try rebooting your iPhone. If that doesn't work, toggle your WiFi on and off until it works. Works for me all the time :)

Yeah, the youtube fix shouldn't be check unless your using an unlocked 1st gen iphone on another carrier. It does not matter what country.

nope, since i just got jailbroken and my computer is being an ass and wont let me get into my ipod. :/ so if someone could pack together all the graphic files i could try making something new

I rebooted my iPhone, router and PC though, then it worked xD
