Damn..i'm getting a "application cannot be opened" message after restarting my iPod. Any fix for this?

Does anyone know if there is a price drop planned for the touch anytime in the next few months. since the 8GB iphone is $100 cheaper than the 8GB touch, i thought there would be a price drop soon.

Edit: one last thing. Is there a new itouch revision in the works. I find that when I buy consumer electronics, a cheaper better revision is announced the next week. Just want to be sure

I doubt it since you have to get butt****ed by at&t in order to get an iphone for that price.

I heard a new iPod touch was in the works and would be released around September or something. I remember reading it somewhere but probably just another rumor.

There are logs in the iPod touch's firmware that suggest a firmware revision. Doubt it will be anything big though.

I cant think of much they can add besides the obvious stuff like better battery life. It has to be able to run the App Store, so software wise it'll be identical.

Hmm..doubt it. Its not really a hardware selling feature. No one with a iTouch is going to really get a new one for GPS and its not really a incentive for people to get one now.

I wish I didnt have to get it out, unlock it, and do all that **** just to skip a track. Hopefully they can fix that in the new version, if there is one.

Doesn't the iTouch remote have the skip and pause button on the earphone's wire like the iPhones?

Double tap the HOME button.

It'll bring up the PLAY/PAUSE and next track buttons. Still inconvenient. But its better then nothing.

No, I've tried it before. It works the same as regular headphones..

Well, i'm on AT&T and 3G is included in the required unlimited package.

On AT&T you get unlimited:
GPRS Data
EDGE Data
3G Data

That's everything you can possibly do on the phone except SMS :P

Came free with my macbook and I got a few questions about it

1. I of course want to jailbreak it. Is the guide at the top still the best way? The FW is 1.1.5 or something and I am using my macbook for it if that makes a difference.

2. What are some apps/games I should get for it? Crash racing and super monkey ball look good, anything else?

3. If I want a custom wallpaper its as simple as putting the picture I want on Iphoto and putting it on the touch?

1. No, the best way to jailbreak would be to go to FW 2.0.1, not 1.1.5
2. YOu cannot get any games or apps without 2.0x
3. No, you need to jailbreak and install customize or winterboard to get a wallpaper (also themes)

well you'll need to get the official 2.0.1 firmware, which unless you buy it, I cannot provide for you, then you will need to get the newest version of pwnage tool, and from there it should be pretty self explanatory

How much benefit is there to jailbreaking the 2.0.1 iphone?
and does it void your warranty, or if you **** up the phone can you always restore it before you send it back?
