Frequently Asked Questions about the iPhone
What is the difference between the first iPhone, and iPhone 3G?
The two are not very much different at all. iPhone 3G has a faster data plan because it uses the 3G network, it also has a slightly better battery. iPhone 3G also has a different casing then the original, it comes in either black if you have an 8 gig model, or you can choose between white or black if you get a 16 gig model.
How fast is 3G over Edge?
This is a question that can pop up frequently, 3G is alot faster, and when I mean alot, 2.4x faster according to speed tests from me, and other companies that have tested it. So 3G is a little more then 2x faster then Edge.
How does GPS work?
the iPhone has a Google Maps feature, it can track down your location and give you directions to where you want to go from your location, although it wont give you turn by turn directions, it will give you step by step, which isnt as useful if you are driving somewhere and you need directions.
How does 3G and GPS affect the battery?
The iPhone came out with a better battery to adjust to 3G, so the battery may seem unharmed by 3G. However, GPS eats the battery, it can take a good 10% of your battery in about 20 minutes of use. GPS I would use in only if you really have no clue where youre going.
