to break off from my own thread about selling my laptop,I figured I'd make a post about this seperately.
This thread is to discuss any laptop thats comparable to Asus's EEE notebooks.
afaik,as far as competitors are concerned for the EEE,we got the MSI Wind, which supposedly will be the first one to use the Intel Atom Processor. It also appearently will have the highest 3Dmark03 score out of any of them
which, like said,is probably the 100 mhz overlock difference, since they both have the same exact video chipset.
Another Competitor is the HP-Keynote,which is more expensive, looks good but performs slower.
Appearently, its Pros are keyboard size and drive space if you get a HDD.
Dell is also making one
So far we got Asus, which I would call the original creator of this type of laptop, then MSI,HP and Dell as emerging competitors.
At this point in time tho,I think you can only buy the Asus's EEE's,of which I would probably buy, since they've had more time to R&D,but I think they're starting to get a little pricy. I would also go for something with a SSD to save on battery life. Not to mention with the performance you get out of these, you dont really need a whole lot of drive space to back them up
So,what are your thoughts on these machines? Would you get one,and if so,which one would you get?
