After alot of reading, I'm sure that most laptops with any sort of s video port are s video out for if you need to use a TV as your monitor.
Interested, but not wanting to go out and spend cash on a proper cable, I DID find this little adaptor (well, atleast I think it is).
Its this little yellow stub, no larger than 1.5 inches long. On one side, it has an opening for an AV cable. Seeing as how it's yellow, I assume its for video. So I put AV cable in that side. The other side is S video - it plugs perfectly into my laptop.
Assuming I'm right, should I be able to set my TV to Input 2 and use my TV as the monitor?
I've hooked it all up and pressed the special combination (Fn key+F4) and my laptop screen just goes black for a split second. And that's it.
Should this work, or am I a retard and this should'nt work in the first place?
