You can have good or you can have cheap.
For good, get a MacBook Pro. For cheap, everything else.

Remember, don't get brainwashed by the the Mac parade, there are Windows options too!
Under 700 Canadian is a really huge stretch. Heck, Dell only make 1 laptop in that price range: http://www1.ca.dell.com/content/prod...&navla=12~0~33Originally Posted by PSPOwnage
I don't know why you need a laptop, I get the feeling you just want one for the novelty but you have no real use for it or a desktop could probably fulfil all your needs. If that is your decision that I can tell you that it will just be a complete waste of money.

So can you form an opinion on which one is better unless you have used it yourself?Originally Posted by PSPOwnage
Just because it can boot both OSX and Windows doesn't mean its the best deal. It only becomes useful if you actually need to use OSX. I know some people who always boot into Windows on their MacBooks because they don't like OSX. They bought the MacBooks because there was an iPod deal at the time + student discount. I cases like that, it usually isn't cost effective to get a Mac.Originally Posted by nar180
700 bucks? To get something decent you should at least save up 300 more dollars...

Now now guys, lets not turn this into a Mac vs Windows argument. He wants a windows Laptop, and with $700 canadian, I don't think he can get a Macbook anyway.
