Hey guys, I'm thinking about starting a new MMORPG. Any Lord of The Rings Online players on this forum? I've had accounts for World of Warcraft and Everquest II in the past. I got really addicted and immersed in WoW, but it becomes too time-consuming and tedious, especially once you're over level 30.
Does LOTRO become immersive and addictive, especially compared to other MMORPGs? What is there to do besides quest, grind, instance, and learn skills? Are there big cities that fun to hang out in when you don't feel like questing? I remember in WoW I'd hang around the cities for a while when I got tired of questing and instancing since there was a lot of things to do in a city. Is there a good variety of spells, weapons, armor, etc. in LOTRO? What is there to do when you fully maxed out your character? Would someone who's not too big a fan of the books or movies still enjoy the game? Lastly, is it fun enough to play for hours on end when you're bored?
