1. ## Graphical Multiplication Trick

Here is a link to a video "tutorial" for a video which shows you how to multiply large numbers with "ease". I don't really get it, but I'm interested in it. In an exam, if it asks you to multiply a number, and extra points are given for showing your working out, would they give you points for using this method?

2. Its a lot simpler, not to mention fast, to actually multiply the old fashion way rather than drawing those circles...

No, not really, drawing the circles and then counting takes way longer than doing it the old fashion like this:
