Need Sports Advice :)
Hey guys, im an all around athlete, but i need help with mostly soccer.
I can run for ages, and i wont get tired....but their is one problem that hinders me, my breathing. I can run for ages, but i always run out of air and need to stop for a while to regain my breath. Any tips on how i can go about makin my lungs bigger, or and breathing advice at all. And dont say..everybody runs outa air..cause this happens unusually fast. Just from jockying a forward i have to take a while to regain my breath....
hmmm, do this, run for as long as you can, find the distance, and everyday run a little bit more, it will improve your endurance, and sometimes when youre relaxed and just sitting at home, maybe hold your breath, and do the same thing, everytime, try to make go longer.
Im not saying you should do this, I think it would help you get more endurance though
Try running on a treadmill or doing an elliptical every other day. Start out small - 15 minutes on the treadmill, 5 on the elliptical. Try to go an extra 5 on the treadmill or 2 on the elliptical each time you go.
Don't push yourself too hard. Go at a nice steady pace, and if you feel yourself running out of breath, slow down.
I find that it helps to have a machine that shows your heart rate. You can sort of make a game out of trying to keep it low/steady. If you can keep your heart rate low, you'll find it easier to breath evenly.
I've got a naturally high heart rate; at rest I'm at about 110 or 120 beats per minute. When I first started working out I'd get up to 180 or 190, and I'd be tired and out of breath after about 30 minutes on the treadmill at 3.5 miles per hour. Now, after just a couple of weeks, it's rare for me to break 170 beats per minute, and I can go over an hour at 4.5 miles per hour.
I also did the treadmill for a week or so, then the elliptical. If you switch your routine up but keep doing cardiovascular, you'll get more benefit than just sticking with the same machine. (In the last 10 days, I lost 11 pounds :))
Getting your lungs' endurance built up isn't easy, but it's doable :)
maybe u have excersized induced asthma. i use to have the same problem when i played soccer and lacrosse, i could run and run and run but after awhile i couldnt breath very well, so before games and practices i take 2-4 puffs of a inhaler and im fine. check into it.
kibbles..i think that might be it..thnx
Yea you might have asthma.....
