Companies, ISP's, or whatever will never take legal action unless you go against their cease and desist becasue prosecuting everyone is too much of a hassle. Everyone is basically able to download anything they want and pretty much wont get in trouble unless they keep doing it after they are told to stop.

Sucks that you cant download anymore though. Can you tell us by any chance how much you downloaded? Were you some kind of excessive download whore, or just a download once in a while person.

I think it might've been a little excessive, but I delete everything like limewire and azureus and all the music/video files i've downloaded, so it should be ok

my point was that if I delete the program that broadcasts the files it shouldn't be a problem. I know full well that deleted files can be restored, even on a mac

I use Peerguardian and pray that I'll be okay. Also, I'm using the college's broadband, so I don't think that anyone will go through much stress to find out what I download. Of course that doesn't mean I will go about and download uber illegal things (people's bank information and lolicon anyone? ), but you get the point.
