Checkout Service Associate
1) Customer Service
Responsibility will be to greet, assist and accommodate customers in all aspects of customer service in an environment of speed, convenience and friendliness
To provide proactive personalized customer service to each and every customer entering the check out operation
To engage the customer, beyond the mechanic’s of the transaction. 100% devotion to the customer (eye contact, smile & acknowledgement).
Maintain familiarity with special programs and initiatives being carried out in the store
Use of empowerment to resolve customer issues in a prompt and friendly manner
Maintain front end visibility to the customer when not processing sales
Prompt reaction to line-ups
2) Sales Development
Support and promote all loyalty programs (i.e. Credit blend, Hbc Rewards, etc.)
Support and promote all customer incentive programs
Maintain communication with Service Supervisor on opportunities brought up by customers (i.e./ out of stocks, signing)
Adherence to scanning procedures at all times.
Responsible for the accurate operation of an assigned registers in accordance with all related policy and procedures.
Maintain strict control over all monies and media during each shift.
Maintain clean, efficient workstations conducive to providing fast, efficient customer service.
Proper adherence to EAS procedures (de-magnetizing) minimizing customer service shortfalls
Restocking/zoning of checkouts as directed
