for english class, the class was divided into groups and these groups divided themselves into equal sides to debate a topic. my group's topic is 'gay rights', more specifically, we're going into the marriage-related material. the affirmative team is pro-gay-marriage, i'm on the negative team (if i were able to choose, i'd be the affirmative but anyways..).
for the wrong reasons, my opponents dont want to tell me what the proposition actually is, but thats ok. i just need to find reasons why gay marriages would 'ruin the world'. (i can rebutt their argument appropriately during the rebuttal) but all i can find on the internet are a bunch of religiously-minded arguments saying basically nothing more than 'its just wrong' or 'unnatural'.
so, i need help finding compelling reasons as to why gay marriages should not be allowed.
the only thing i can think off the top of my head is the continuation of humanity, but that takes two seconds to say and by itself isnt an effective enough argument, i believe.
