Christianity, the rise of it split Rome into two. Byzantinium and Western Rome. Western Rome fell and the Byzantine empire lasted a bit longer. But yea, I think that's what happened...could be wrong.

Umm google search it, its a lot faster. Or look in your history book, or how does this sound stay awake in class... a novel idea... but it works...and CHW42 is right, doesn't include all the details but right.

Rome fell due to their pompous attitudes that they could not be beaten. After all who in their right minds WOULD attack such an empire! But alas caught off guard, and any man (or empire), no matter how large can fall.

umm no, this just proves that forums aren't always the place to go for an answer to a question. Christainity ripped the Empire apart... which split them into two Empires the West and the East...weakened the Empire was open for an attack which was why the western Empire fell...the Eastern one stood till around 1200A.D if I remember correctly..its called wikipedia.
