Ok, so here's the deal. My mumz broke her USB flash drive, and didn't have any of the very important files on it backed-up to her computer (don't worry, I've already pounded it into her head how easily this whole thing could have been avoided.)
Above is a picture of her USB drive. Bascially, I've pointed out some kind of connector that has become dislodged from main board. My main question is, will soldering fix this, or am I going to have to go a different route? The reason I ask, is that I've never soldered before, and I can't tell just by looking if that would fix it... I have no problem doing it, I just don't want to do it if it wont help, or will even worsen the problem.
Remember, the only thing were trying to do here get the data off the Drive, and onto her computer... What happens to the drive is not important.
This data is (according to her), very important... She will go to great lengths to get this data. So any method of getting it is welcome.
*Sorry about the horrible quality of the picture... The only camera I have right now is my iPhone.*
