I'm a junior in high school. I don't have to worry about this just yet, but I though I'd start early. Anyway, I've decided to go to college for programming. It interests me, I'm fairly good at it, and with practice, I think I can master it. (Figuratively speaking.) Anyway, there's a lot of unknowns for me right now. Like, I know there isn't a class labeled 'Programming'. So, what exactly do I take? Software engineer? Is that the same thing? What about perquisites? What math class do I have to have. By the time I finish high school, I'll have a college credit for Calculus B/C already. (AP Test) Are there any other classes? What about simple things like typing? And finally, can you recommend a college? DO NOT just throw out names at me if you know nothing about it. I want info. Why this one? Where is it? How much per year? If you don't know anything about it, DO NOT POST. I don't have to have to search through crap posts to find good info.
EDIT: I'd mostly like to hear from profession developers. Any advice? I know there's a few that frequent this forum.
EDIT 2: I thought I put this in the off-topic forums. If a mod can move it, cool.
