The rock had always been there, but nobody knew why. Suddenly, Timmy kicked the rock. “Ow! That darned rock!” he yelled when he hurt his foot. He looked at the rock, but it was gone. Timmy wondered why nobody had kicked it before.

If you were on an alien planet, and giant bugs were slaughtering your army platoon, would it be all right to use Black Flag to kill them? Because that would damage the alien planet’s environment, and nobody wants that, now do we?

Randy thought he spoke to God that day. But what Randy was really speaking to was his pet iguana Bob.

One time I saw a movie about a clown. He was sad, and he cried a lot. Then he got a full-time job at a chemical plant, and he was happy. But he still dressed like a clown, because he knew that a clown was what he was destined to be. What a screwed-up clown!

Jack didn’t know why his head hurt. He had only been hitting himself with the hammer for a little while, and it shouldn’t have hurt that much already, should it?
One time I was driving with my parents when we saw a dead deer on the side of the road. “Cool!” I said. Then my dad glared at me. I shrunk down into my seat, knowing that I should feel bad for the deer. But deep down I know he was really just staring at me because I was totally nude.

I used to be a great runner in elementary school. But things really took a turn for the worse when I accidentally chopped off my legs at the knee with a battle axe.

I think that if computers ruled the world, we should elect a Mac for president, because then it would crash a lot, just like human presidents.

The door was red. Dan didn’t like it like that, so he painted it black. Then Jim came along and painted it blue, because he didn’t like it black. This went on for a while. The door still stands today, but it’s really thick and heavy because of the thousands of coats of paint.

One day I was hiking in the mountains in Hawaii when I met an old man. He told me a story about a treasure that was left in the harbor by pirates. I thought it was a cool story, until I realized that the old man was really a rotting corpse.

When the air conditioner broke, Chris was really mad. But he realized that it was no use getting mad at it, because it would just get upset and stay broken. So he threw it in a barrel and lit it on fire. “Ha!” he said. “Serves you right for breaking in MY house.”

Andrew didn’t like doing his homework. “Who needs this?” he said. “No good will ever come of this.” Little did he know that his teachers were secretly plotting to kill him by putting poison on his graded papers. Boy, was HE lucky!

Larry didn’t know why, but for the longest time he liked to eat floppy diskettes. He liked the metallic taste of the… metal. It was this very obsession that sent him to his grave.

I used to have a parrot, but it died. After that, I had it stuffed. I don’t know why, but it didn’t like to eat very much after that – and all that stuffing didn’t help, either! So I took the stuffing out, but then it looked weird. So I filled it with cranberry sauce. Then it didn’t look so hungry, but it really started to stink. I knew something was really wrong when its eyes fell out and its head exploded. Man, was THAT a sight to see!

One time, I was in the middle of Spanish class. My teacher said something to me in Spanish. Just to be funny, I called her a whore in German. Too bad it was a German school. She knew what I said, and she tried to strangle me. I told her it was all a mistake, and that I didn’t realize that she spoke German, but she just kept strangling me. Some of the other kids started beating her over the head with bottles of glue and boxes of markers. Then she was dead, and I was king!

I don’t know why she swallowed a fly. But it sure was funny. Ha!
