True. Although when I modded my first phat PSP, I took the warranty sticker off, when I took the screen out I broke the smallest clip holding the screen in AND the backlight.

I took it back to gamestation and they didn't even check for warranty sticker, Just gave them the receipt.

The power board in my phat died.

The RROD has an extended warranty of 3 years. Everything else is only 1 year and carries a £80 ($150) charge to get fixed.

I've seen on other forums people calling up outside of warantee saying their 360 won't read DVD's any more and was just told to send it in for a free fix.
