Also every qj branch forum in the past has failed. Hard. The ruins of about 20 started by pspunk still float about the internets...

The problem with past QJ offshoots is that they were always started by people nobody wanted here anyway.

Pretty much the entire staff has moved on from here.

Its not so much my opinion as it is fact.

Sometimes these branch forums had substantial user bases with qj mods and the like but they still failed for the simple reason that they were md centric. A forum based off of certain "leet" members from another doesn't work, it becomes almost a centrally off topic forum where all they do is discuss whats on the main forum. Without a blog, without a topic for it to based on rather than chat, there will be no source for new members. New members are the lifeblood of a forum even for /md/ lurkers. It'll likely be dead in a month. Apart from the odd post from pspunk that is.
