Hey. im bored out of my mind right now, and ive noticed some stuff that really confuses me. Might as well write about it:
1. Ive noticed that a lot of people are commenting about how complicated our brain is compared to computers. To quote one of my science teachers, "The brain is amazingly complicated thing. It performs amazing feats that technology cannot even hope to perform." What gets me here is, wasnt technology created by that same brain? So in the end, you are contradicting yourself, and ultimately putting down the power of the brain. Few people seem to realize this.... especially my teachers.
2. Another thing that ticks me off is when people say "redirect your energy into something positive." That is absolutely the most useless advice ive ever heard. It works in some cases, but in the majority of cases, it fails. Thats like saying, "if you're horny, and arent allowed to have sex, go play some sports." This makes no sense. Sure, you will get diverted for some time, but you are still going to be horny unless you actually attack the problem (have sex ). Same goes for if youre angry. Its basically like running away from the problem.
3. (thanks to crzyaznkdxd for reminding me) I find it hard to believe in the concept of luck. When you live in the US, you're constantly hearing things like "youre very lucky to have such great parents, and such a great land!" Dont get me wrong, I greatly appreciate both my parents and the US, but i firmly believe that it was my good deeds that led me here. (As you can see, i believe in reincarnation.) It pisses me off when people try to connect everything to luck, as if all you talents were determined by flipping a coin.
@crz- i see what you mean, and i totally agree. Donating is a must, but it must be because you want to, otherwise that money will only be wasted.
