you do have to sign bills aka pass legislation as president. but as vp you sit on your ass all day until there is a tie in the senate then the vp is a tie breaker. other than that, your basically a figurehead that goes wherever to talk to people, visits other countries, etc. nothing official.

The President does not pass legislation. He signs (or doesn't) legislative bills that have been passed by congress into law or he vetos them and they go back to congress.
