I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing with NoEffex, but you say that last line as if there wouldn't be suicide bombers if our soldiers weren't there. There clearly would. The people down there are pretty sick of the large amount of people hijacking their religion and declaring jihads on the rest of the world.
If there were suicide bombings during Saddams reign there would have been VERY few. And please let me know how it is clear that there would?
Hmm.. I suppose you got me there, I don't know exactly why I said "clearly" lol.
Still, I don't believe that they would stop suicide bombings even without us... There was never peace in the middle east, you have remember that these people are practically fighting themselves (sunis against shiites.. or however you spell them).
Israel, Palestine, Egypt etc are pretty ****ed up most of the time. I dont remember Iraq being involved. (I stand corrected if im wrong)
EDIT: Just realised we are completely off topic. I'll end this here.
i though this was interesting

The Middle East is a complex problem. The people there all want something whether it be land, etc., but they refuse to give up what they already have, making compromise impossible.
It all traces back to the imperialist days and especially after World War I when the Europeans divided the Middle East without regard for local boundaries, resulting in ethnic groups seperated and mashed together, creating the problem today. This is also the same issue in Africa with the forcing together of different ethnic groups, resulting in violence and unrest.

Haha. But, I can guarantee you the king of hypocrisy will come out and accuse me of BS bias, then go quote something from msnbc.
Also, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyvqhdllXgU
Say "HELLO!" to the Communist States of America, assuming the king of not knowing what he's talking about gets elected, and you don't end up with a non-corrupted VP.
Ironically, Palin's the only one who's not corrupted by DC politics. But oh well, I'm sure you liberals will find out Obama's not who he turns out to be after all.
Of course Palin's not in the swing of Washington, she's probably never set a foot outside Alaska until the campaign.
He was referring to the party as a whole, and the common practices. You do not say you are liberal, you are liberal if you are a certain way. For example, conservatives have a tendency to be conservative.
The second video was a crack up because it represents a good amount of the population. I've encountered so many people exactly like that.
well, really, it all depends on what hole you want to live in for the next 4 years. Because mind you, believe or not, this country is in a serious hole thanks your great president Bush. So you can decide whether you want a 72yr old to try and dig you out of said whole or cover you in dirt, whatever you may wish. Or you could have a 47yr old try and dig you out, or cover you in dirt, or maybe even strap a bomb to himself go in with ya. Really it doesn't matter in my opinion, many peoples theories and ideas of there being a new civil war or even a full blown destruction of this country seem clearer and clearer to me all through the imagery i see on the news all the time and what i see in many peoples faces in this country in which i grew up and learned so much in.
Frankly, ill take my odds with the ****** who's got relations with Osama, or so they say. Than even daring to get near to a Vietnam Vet. Only thing i ever hear about Vietnam is bad. So i would like to stray from that.

Quickly came across this thread hoping there was a poll. Will there be one added tomorrow?
probably not
Just curious, shouldn't this be a polled topic?
We have 86 pages of political talk... there surely has to be some sort of forum electoral college we can get out of it to help out the popular vote lol
Seriously though I don't see the harm in a forum poll. It could be compared to the official one to see how this forum compares to the countries opinion.
I'm not demanding it or anything. I just would like to vote even though it wouldn't matter. Kind of like when two married individuals go to the polls just to cancel each others votes out.
Quite honestly the people who have any conservative beliefs end up being driven away because of the fact arguing with FreePlay is like arguing with a donkey, so, the poll would end up being Obama.
Well then don't argue with FreePlay.
Yeah I gotta admit, Freeplay's arguments are top notch.
A poll on here would not be an accurate representation at all and if anything would only reinforce the notion that young people are pro Obama.
Few reasons it would be invalid
* Most people on here are not from America/to young to vote. While their opinion are more then welcome to be heard, they do not hold a vote. Its that simple
* QJ is mostly people that are no older than their early twenties( a few exceptions I know) it would only reinforce the idea that is held that young people are pro Obama. A much wider demographic is needed.
I think in general most of QJ has no real clue on the issues nor the impact of ideas/legislation that each candidate has proposed. Most people only go by what they hear and I bet a fair amount go by what other people tell them.
As for Freeplay, he has great arguments that are very well thought out. However, they only reflect his thinking on the matter and it may or may not be right. I think a lot of people on here tend to think he is automatically right due to the fact that no one on here can argue the other sides stance. It comes down to issues and Freeplay has his thoughts on them and I think a lot of you just go with him because he is smart. Nothing wrong with agreeing but some of you need to think for yourselves.
Personally, I differ in a lot of opinions on the issues but it is wasted to argue on here because this forum has their lips on obamas ass. I do not like either candidate so please do not launch into some Mccain garbage, because I do not like him either
EDIT: This post was not directed at any one person nor do I mean it to be. I just think a lot of people here are easily swayed in thinking and do not form their own ideas from research of multiple sources, merely echoing someone else's stances
I'm sorry, but this right here is probably the stupidest thing I've ever read in this thread. You wouldn't dare go near a guy who's been in Vietnam because Vietnam is bad, but you would take your odds with a guy that has "so-called" relations with Osama (who, gee I dunno, wants you, me, and the other half of the world dead unless we convert to Islam)??! Dude. I really, really hope you're being sarcastic here. And I really, really, really hope you did not vote with that kind of attitude.
As for this election that is ending as I type this.. all I can say is, as much as I don't like McCain either, I fear my country voted a man into office who has too far a shady background and who may not have this land's best interest in mind, simply because he's educated and played into the peoples desperation.
He doesn't HAVE arguments. Everything is about saying how my sources are illegitimate.
I don't even give a **** anymore, I'm tired of arguing with idiots, you'll see that Obama is a dirtbag (and NO, that's not a racist remark, I was referring to lair and a HUGE hypocrite.) and will bring no good to this country. It is then I will bump this thread from the middle of ****ing nowhere and will say "HAHA! I WAS RIGHT!".
Yes, because McCain's fear-mongering definitely wasn't playing into people's desperation...

Yes, showing that everything you're saying is either baseless, or comes from an illegitimate source isn't really an arguement... Because as long as you can't back up what you're saying, you're not putting up much of an arguement... Thus, Freeplay isn't arguing, he's just making you look ridiculous.
Learn to read, Frenchy. I was restating what Noriyuki said.
But, you know, I'm the stupid one.
EDIT: Here. I'll even show it to you, so that you don't hurt yourself looking for it! :)
-=Double Post Merge =-
As I said, I don't like McCain either and now that you bring it up, I agree. However, I still believe that Obama sucked on the d*** of the peoples desperation way, way more than McCain did.
Obama has won, yay! :dj:
John McCain has conceded. But Palin is YET still trying to call Obama a terrorist. Unbelievable. You lost *****. Deal with it. But props to McCain for exiting in style.
You go ahead and bath in your self-glory. You just continue to go lower and lower beyond what I thought was even possible.
You call him a dirt bag for absolutely no reason other than personal negative assumptions, and saying he will bring no good to this country with absolutely no attempt at even giving him a chance.
Anyways, Obama won. Suck it up sore loser.
Now go ahead and leave your country like you said you would so nobody has to endure your crap any longer. Just please dear god don't come to Canada. Nobody would welcome you here with your close-minded bull****.
